Holly
Joy Penzenstadler, Director of Youth Ministry
Holly Joy holds a BS in Middle Childhood
Education from Franciscan University and has been active in Youth Ministry for over 10 years. A native of
West Deer Township, Holly Joy was an active member of Transfiguration Parish. Throughout college, she was active in campus
ministry, mission trips, and mentoring high school students.
Immediately after college, Holly Joy joined National Evangelization Teams-traveling throughout the U.S., speaking and evangelizing through dramatic
presentations during retreats for youth.
After NET, Holly Joy took an active role in parish life at St. Richard in
Richland, as a volunteer in High School Youth Ministry and spent 13 months serving the Diocese of Pittsburgh as the Catechetical
Administrator and Youth Minister for St. Patrick in Oakdale, and the Youth Minister at St. Joseph O’Hara for three years
before returning to St. Richard Church as the Director of Youth Ministry. Holly
Joy is trained in Chastity Education and is a certified Catholic Vision of Love instructor. Holly Joy has been involved in
Diocesan Projects, such as the Peer Leadership Training Program and puts on retreats for youth groups and parishes throughout
the tri-state area.

Discipleship is a passion of Holly Joy's. Holly Joy
was a Captain in the Young Apostles Program for Franciscan University Summer Youth Conferences in 2007. Recently,
she served as a Director for Franciscan LEAD--where she discipled young people from all over the country, focusing on Leadership,
Evangelization, and Discipleship.
